Congratulations to the winners of our annual Jimmy Kaye Japanese Writing Competition:
Arrifa Nasarudin – Year 12 Westbourne Grammar – Prize money $350
Enakshi Fuloria – Year 11- Mount St. Joseph Girls’ College – Prize money $250.
Our winners are usually presented their awards at a Hobsons Bay Council Mayoral function held to welcome our visiting Japanese students, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic this was not possible. So the students were congratulated on line via Zoom by HBIFA President Joy Martin and Writing Competition Coordinator Sue Gauci, as seen in the screenshot. The competition judges were impressed by the quality and effort put into the entries. The Association would like to thank all the entrants and look forward to the competition re-opening in May 2021.
