It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of one of the Association’s great leaders, John Whittington, “John San”, to his friends in Anjo, Japan.
John was a long term Member, former President, Chaperone and Student Exchange Coordinator who developed and led the ongoing sister city relationship with our friends in Anjo.
John was instrumental in ensuring the student exchange program flourished which has seen more than 240 students participate in more than 30 years of exchanges. He has left a legacy that can’t be measured. His passion, dedication, and cheeky smile was infectious, and he will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts are with his wife Marilyn, their children and grandchildren to whom we offer our deepest sympathy and condolences.
